Renata Ferraz was born in São Paulo, Brazil. Studied Performing Arts at Instituto de Artes da UNESP (São Paulo). She worked as an actress for 12 years, under the direction of important directors, such as Gerald Thomas, William Pereira, Alexandre Mate, Antonio Abujamra, Barry Karp and Muray Shafer. In 2007 she founded a Multimedia Art Collective, called Corrosivo. With Corrosivo she began a research in video-performance and experimental video. She has developed collaborative art projects with international artists whose practices range from visual art, dance, theater and music.

She has a Master Degree in Multimedia Art - Audiovisuais  (Faculty of Fine Arts - University of Lisbon). Her studies are based on the dialogue between Audiovisual and Storytelling.
